We're excited to present the latest version of Pixotope, featuring key enhancements designed to streamline your virtual production workflow.
We have unified our AR+VS compositing workflow. This makes hybrid sets even easier to set up including the usage of Pixotope Reveal.
All Pixotope World Settings can now easily be read or changed with the new Get/Set Pixotope World Settings nodes. In addition, publishing data hub messages has been made easier using a Simple Publish node and also accessing Data Mapper sources has gotten its own Read data node.
Conflicting changes are now shown explicitly, also on a per file basis. This helps to resolve these issues faster. In addition, we now differentiate whether files have been added or modified.
"You shall not fail. Part 2." In 24.1 we introduced an automatic server failover solution. With this release we are introducing redundancy for render machines. Simply add Backup machines and route them via a Blackmagic Videohub. Choose if it should automatically switch on failure (Engine/VideoIO/Network) or also on critical health values. All Live changes or Group overrides are applied on both Main and Backup machines keeping them completely in sync.
We figured "Automatic" is cool, so we also made setting the delay between the AR and XR machines automatic. As simple as that.
Who doesn't like standards, right? We do too! So we now support SMPTE 2110, the industry-standard protocol for high-quality, uncompressed video over IP, using Matrox ST 2110 cards.
We now support Unreal Live Link so you can maintain your existing Unreal Engine tracking workflow, including combining transform and lens data from different sources.
Wouldn't it be great to customize your Control panel layout whichever way you want? Arranging 2 or more control panels next to each other so they can be used simultaneously, or watch the API logs at the same time while triggering events?
Our new version of the Control panel allows you to dock panels and save different layouts.
To easily identify the different machines during setup, you can now show the machine names and colors on the output.
Don't need any user interface running on your render machines? Pixotope can now be run in the background without launching Director.
Ever wanted to just key your video, without doing any 3D Graphics? The Video keyer, including Pixotope Reveal, can now be used completely stand-alone.
Downloading and installing an 8GB application takes its time and can be annoying when you do not need the Pixotope Engine/Editor. With our new No-Engine installer we have brought it down to almost a 1/10 of the size, making these steps significantly faster.
With 24.2 we introduce our cloud tools which make your virtual production life easier. We start off with an experimental version of a tool allowing you to create a "3D mesh from video". While you record a video of your studio, we grab frames and send them up to the cloud, calculating a rough 3D mesh. This you can then import and use to align your scene.

Last but not least, our Pixotope Help Center wants to say hAI, 你好, नमस्ते, hola, bonjour, مرحبا .
With our newly integrated AI search you can ask specific questions and get answers right in your search window. And it might even understand your mother tongue :-)
